Native Swift macOS app with WidgetKit, AppIntents, and reverse-engineered Claude internal API for usage tracking
A native macOS menu bar utility that monitors Claude API token usage across sessions and models. The app reverse-engineers Claude's internal usage API (accessible via the authenticated session cookie) to fetch real consumption data. WidgetKit exposes a Today widget showing current period usage. AppIntents registers Siri and Shortcuts actions for querying usage on demand.
Swift and SwiftUI build the menu bar popover and settings UI. AppKit handles the NSStatusItem menu bar icon. WidgetKit provides the lock screen and Notification Center widget. AppIntents registers usage-query intents with Siri and the Shortcuts app. Combine drives reactive updates when new usage data is fetched. UserNotifications fires alerts when approaching usage thresholds.
